Swiss National Day Party 2006
For Swiss Roots, Swiss Consulate

2006 the Consulate General of Switzerland launched an initiative to connect Americans with Swiss roots to their origins. The project, called Swiss Roots was a nationwide program with events throughout 2006. On July 29th the Migration Museum of Ellis Island opened an exhibit on Swiss Migration: “Small Numbers Big Impact”. Clock Wise Productions was hired to produce the Swiss National Holiday Party that day on Ellis Island and make it the signature event of Swiss Roots. The logistics of getting 2,400 guests and 250 participants onto Ellis Island during the high season where formidable, but we pulled it off working closely with Circle Line, the National Park Service, United States Park Police and the concessionaire Aramark.
